Shortlist announced for Digital DNA Awards 2022

The wait is finally over the shortlist for the Digital DNA Awards 2022 has been announced

Following a 2 year break for the in-person awards celebration, the highly anticipated Digital DNA Awards are set to make a full return in person for the first time in just over two years, and it will certainly be a night to celebrate.

The announcement of this year’s shortlists comes as businesses across Northern Ireland begin to emerge from the challenges of the past two years, with many only beginning a return to the offices for the first time, as they continue to adapt and respond to the challenges brought about by the pandemic. The past 24 months may have been some of the most challenging in living memory, but they’ve also seen businesses and individuals rise to the occasion and showcase true innovation, creativity and resilience.

Now in their 7th year, the Digital DNA awards are once again powered by MCS Group and are a celebration of the very best in the Northern Ireland digital and technology community. And the interest in the 2022 edition of the highly sought after awards has been unprecedented, with a record number of entries from over 140 local and international companies.

The first phase of the judging process has now been  completed with the final shortlist representing the very best technology businesses and people from right across Northern Ireland.

Winner’s will be announced at Belfast’s ICC on Thursday 28thApril in front of an expected audience of 700 guests.

Speaking about the return of the awards, Digital DNA CEO, Simon Bailie said:

“This year’s shortlist is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of the tech industry in Northern Ireland. Year after year, we are blown away with the quality and talent that enter the awards. But this year exceeded anything we could have imagined. Over 300 entries were submitted, with one category receiving a record breaking 42 entries. Making the shortlist in 2022 is therefore a phenomenal achievement and as we return to our full in-person celebration event on 28th April, we know that the eventual winners will be truly exceptional in what has been a stand out 12 months for the NI Tech Scene.”

……….

MCS Group Managing Director, Sean Devlin said:

“I am delighted to see the awards back as they should be, as a great night getting together and celebrating the best, and with the best, in the business.

The resilience, grit and determination to embrace the challenges of the last couple of years and embrace the future has been inspiring to witness.  Every nominee has had to win that place on the shortlist, and I look forward to seeing the winners emerge in April.”
