Irish consumers can now manage their money using just one card and digital app
Curve, the fintech that brings your cards into one smart card and an even smarter app, is announcing a new drive to make money management in Ireland easier than ever. Curve provides contemporary products that allow the customer to spend, send, see and save their money at the touch of their fingertips.
Customers can add all their retail loyalty accounts into Curve’s digital wallet, making it simple to save store points and take advantage of the latest deals, without the hassle of carrying physical cards. Irish shoppers can add their Tesco Clubcard and Boots Advantage Card accounts, making it easy to build up points and save when they spend. Consumers can also use the Curve card or app to boost their accounts with features such as 1% cashback when they shop online with top brands including ASOS and Amazon, pick up essentials at Tesco or a takeaway at McDonalds or Nandos. All cashback appears in a virtual Curve Card on the app, along with any promos and money sent from other people.
Only half of all card-present transactions in Ireland are currently contactless. Curve cards are contactless Mastercard® debit cards, so customers can convert their existing bank cards into contactless ones and shop safely and simply in the wake of the pandemic. Last year the Government increased the contactless payment limit in Ireland from 30 to 50 euros, in response to Covid-19. With Curve’s access to contactless, Irish consumers can take advantage of this increase and securely tap and go, without entering their PIN. Curve also works with Apple Pay and Google Pay, so Irish customers can use their phone or compatible smart device to pay.
Curve’s founder and CEO, Shachar Bialick said:
“In Ireland, 69% of payment transactions in 2019 were with cards. We want to make it easier than ever for Irish consumers to go cashless and be their own bankers by combining all their cards and accounts into one smart card and app. Curve customers can benefit from unrivalled insight across all their accounts, as well as 1% cashback on spend with their favourite brands. Our mission is to make tackling personal finances a breeze around the Irish republic.”
Whether it’s better sight over monthly bills, making the most of a store loyalty card, cashback on an online shopping spree or saving for a trip to look forward to – Curve makes it easy for customers to plan their spending and makes saving simple.
Curve is available to download and use in Ireland now on iOS and Android.
