Belfast, 6th September 2022; We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Best Technology sector production business award, at the UK Enterprise Awards 2022 recent announcement.
For the 6th year SME News presented the UK Enterprise Awards, which recognises a multitude of exciting and vibrant businesses and industries from all over the UK. Particularly in the unprecedented circumstances of covid-19. SME News focused this year’s awards on how UK business owners have demonstrated the utmost dedication and innovation in the ways that they have not only adapted but weathered the COVID-19 storm to ensure the survival of their businesses.
Listed amongst 200 companies, we are thrilled to be recognised by SME News for our ambition and vision in supporting the growth of the technology industry and adapting our business model during one of the most challenging periods the world has seen.
In 2020, when the pandemic hit we found ourselves facing many challenges. Being a purley in-person events business meant it was important for us to innovate and adapt our services at every turn to not only survive but thrive during this time of change.
We set out to succeed by developing a media and content publishing strategy, which enabled us to share news around the local tech industry on a regular basis, along with the creation of eight digital magazines which supported our virtual events and webinars. Our biggest passion has always been helping local tech businesses reach their global ambitions, so cancelling our events was never an option.
Since 2013 our mission has been very simple; to support the growth of the tech industry by connecting and energising local tech communities with global ambitions.
We encourage and support the growth of all things digital and keep digital technology at the forefront of people’s minds.
We do this by bringing together the brightest minds from all areas of the Tech and Business Community, through our events, awards programmes, publishing titles and media content. To find out what is possible, explore what the future looks like and to connect with the changemakers tackling the big challenges facing business and society.
Commenting on receiving the award Digital DNA’s CEO, Simon Bailie said;
“We are honoured to be recognised in this way and it is a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication and creativity. The pandemic afforded us an opportunity to reassess how we connect the digital and tech industry beyond our core in person events. Over the past three years we have developed new digital content, including tech news, video and digital publications. On behalf of everyone at Digital DNA , we would like to thank SME News for this recognition and look forward to continuing to produce high quality, innovative content for the digital and tech industry!”
Award Coordinator Holly Blackwood took a moment to discuss the success of this year’s programme:
“One of the joys of this programme is realising the sheer talent and skill that permeates every inch of the British business sphere, across all industries and fields. So here’s a massive congratulations and I hope you all have a wonderful – and productive- rest of the year ahead.”
