The deadline for nominations to the Digital DNA awards is fast approaching with the competition expected to be as strong as ever. After the year that it has been, anyone who makes the shortlist for the 2021 awards will have earned it.
Held in partnership with MCS Group, the Digital DNA Awards celebrate the very best tech talent from companies of all sizes, who are excelling in the world of Digital and Tech. Developers, engineers and entrepreneurs, alongside start-ups, FDI’s and project teams will all be vying for some of the 13 highly sought-after awards, with the winners being announced at a special event to be broadcast live from Belfast on 1st July 2021.
Now in their 6th year, the Digital DNA Awards are a major highlight for the Tech Industry in Northern Ireland, recognising the very best companies, projects and individuals from right across the region. In 2020 and in response to the pandemic, the awards were the first of it’s kind to be broadcast from a purpose built studio and set a new standard for online events in the Covid world. The unique online event attracted over 1,500 live viewers from 15 countries and attracted plaudits for it’s fresh approach to celebrating the success of the tech industry.
Simon Bailie, CEO of Digital DNA has said he is excited about the return of what has been described as the most important and highly sought after awards for the Northern Ireland Tech Industry.
“The Digital DNA Awards are the only awards dedicated solely to the tech industry. Winning a Digital DNA Award is a huge accolade and we have found that recipients get unprecedented exposure to the tech and business community both here and further afield.”
Despite the challenging business environment in 2020, Simon maintains that the tech industry in Northern Ireland has a critical role to play, especially as we look to rebuild the local economy post-pandemic and post covid restrictions being removed.
“2020 was undoubtedly a very difficult year for everyone but the tech industry in Northern Ireland has continued to grow and indeed, thrive. The vibrancy and talent within the industry was evident in our recent Top 100 Tech Companies feature, which highlighted the importance of the local tech industry, sustaining over 18,500 jobs that contribute significantly to the local economy.”
For the 5th year in a row, the Digital DNA Awards are once again powered by MCS Group, Northern Ireland’s leading recruitment firm for the tech and digital industries. Commenting on the continuation of the partnership, Sean Devlin, Associate Director at MCS Group said;
“Digital DNA continues to set the standards as the most sought after awards in the industry, and we are delighted to be part of it once again. After the year that it has been, the 2021 winners will have deserved them; the competition will be stronger than ever. Personally, I can’t wait to celebrate the best and brightest in the technology industry in Northern Ireland!”
Winners will be announced at a special event which will be broadcast live around the world on 1st July and organisers are hoping it will be one of the first major business events in Northern Ireland to feature a live studio audience.
With the quality of winners and runners-up over the past few years and with over 300 entries in 2020, the 2021 edition of the awards is set to be another incredible year of recognition for the tech industry in Northern Ireland.
