Dr. Heller joined Colu in 2017 as Chief Economics and Regulation Officer. She has extensive industry experience in financial and insurance markets and hands-on experience in designing public policy and regulation. Prior to joining Colu, Dr. Heller was Head of Competition Division, a research division within Israel Antitrust Authority, where she was responsible for conducting empirical market studies and forming policy recommendations to government and regulators on reforms to enhance competition. Her experience in the private sector includes serving as Chief Risk Officer of Menora Mivtachim Group in Israel, and as Vice President at NERA Economic Consulting in NYC where she advised major US financial institutions, securities exchanges, companies and regulators in the area of risk and regulation.
Dr. Heller has a BSc in mathematics and computer science from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. in Economic Analysis and Policy from Stanford School of Management. After completing her studies she was an assistant professor in the economics department at the University of Chicago and the Berglas School of economics at Tel Aviv University.
