Closing Date is 2nd June

Northern Ireland based startups that apply, can be at either the concept, MVP, launched or trading stage. This year upSTART is for Northern Ireland based startups only.

Both pre-investment and post-investment startups, who have raised less than £1.5m are applicable to apply.

‘Startups’ here are defined by those that have been trading for 36 months or less. A special case can be made if the application to pitch is for a new or standalone product or service against an existing startup company that has traded for more than 36 months. Startups may also have registered the business more than 36 months ago and this is acceptable as long as trading/sales have not begun.

Applications will be responded to if they are shortlisted to pitch or declined on this occasion. The judges decision is final and we regret that specific feedback on a declined application may not be available.

Startups who applied to pitch or pitched at upSTART 2016, 2017, 2018, are eligible to apply to pitch again if they meet the above criteria.

Startups who apply to pitch must be available to be in Belfast during the period of Digital DNA 2019 on the 18th and 19th June 2019.

It is free to pitch at upSTART at Digital DNA 2019 and all shortlisted startups will be given ONE free ticket to attend the event or startup exhibition space can be obtained and you can find out all the details on this here.

upSTART 2019 pitch competition prizes and the value of prizes are eligible to change and Digital DNA are not liable should a prize sponsor renege on a competition prize pre or post the event.

Pitch applications closed 2nd June, but email if interested in pitching if space opens up.

Shortlisting decisions are final and additional startups can be invited to pitch if pitching slots become available.
